PLAINFIELD SAINTS YOUTH CHEERLEADING
 
Our cheerleaders are more than just athletes. The Plainfield Saints, along with Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc., is the only national youth sports organization in America that requires participants to excel in the classroom before permitting them to participate in cheer. 
The academic standards that have been set give these children a sense of responsibility and an appreciation of academics and athletics that will help them develop later on in life.
Cheer will perform in 8 to 10 games and Season End Cheer Competitions! The end of the season for competitive cheer will be based on the advancement in competitions.

Practices and Games:
Practices begin on/after August 1 and are Monday through Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. through Labor Day.
After Labor Day practices will be three times a week. Schedule to be determined by individual coaches.
Practices are held at various Plainfield school locations, and may be inside or outside depending on the weather. 
Cheer teams participate on the sidelines for 8 to 10 home and away football games beginning the last weekend of August. The schedule is created by Pop Warner and the first few games will be available mid-August.
Our home games are at Plainfield Central High School.
Cheer practice and game schedules are subject to change and will be communicated by coaches. 

Competitions and Exhibitions:
The Saints Cheer team will participate in 2-3 exhibitions or competitions depending on the division or squad.
All squads will participate at the conference and regional competitions. Squads at the competitive level have the chance to qualify for Nationals in Orlando, FL. 
Those advancing past the regional level will be responsible for funding any associated competition, travel and accessory costs.

The Registration Fee Covers:
- Insurance 
- Competition fees (excluding Nationals)
- Gym Rentals
- Cheer Pack
- Music and Copyrights for competition
- Raffle Tickets, 15 tickets to be sold at $10 each, player keeps the $150 to offset registration fee

The Cheer Pack Includes: (these items are yours to keep)
1- Competition Shoes 
2- Three (3) Bows- Game Bow, Breast Cancer Awareness Bow, Competition Bow 
3- Sideline Uniform
4- Warm up jacket

**Your athlete will be issued one Rental Competition Uniform to be returned at the end of the season. 
Parents are responsible to provide all white gym shoes for sideline cheer at games.**

A $100 deposit check will be collected per cheerleader before they are able to receive their rental competition uniform. If your uniform is returned on time and in good condition, your check will be returned to you. If your uniform is not returned, or returned in poor condition (ex. rips, stains, faded colors/missing gems from improper laundering, or other reasons determined by the cheer board members) your check will be cashed.

*NEW FOR 2025* All Saints families are subject to a MANDATORY fundraising fee of $100 per family. This will include 2 tickets to our Saints Parents Night Out to be held this summer (date TBD).

Plainfield Saints' competitive tackle football program provides the opportunity to play in an organized, supervised, safety-oriented environment. Emphasis is on learning the fundamentals of football while having fun and learning lifelong lessons. Kids compete with kids of similar age and size. Please register your player for their age as of July 31, 2025.

The Registration Fee Covers

- Helmet (seasonal rental)
- Shoulder Pads (seasonal rental) 
- Two(2) pairs of socks- Game Socks and Breast Cancer Awareness Socks
- Reversible Game Jersey with last name printed on back 
- Raffle Tickets, 15 tickets to be sold at $10 each, player keeps the $150 to offset registration fee

All Rental Equipment is to be returned at the end of the season. All jerseys and socks are yours to keep!
Parents are responsible for providing: chin strap, mouth guard, practice jersey, practice pants/game pants, football cleats

TACKLE FOOTBALL EQUIPMENT AND UNIFORM FITTINGS
ALL TACKLE FOOTBALL PLAYERS must attend a uniform and equipment fitting date to be fitted for helmet and shoulder pads and be weighed to determine jersey size and to request jersey numbers at one of the Fitting date
